What an honor to be chosen by a bride to document the most important day in her life! Beyond that, I am allowed to see and document how much the couple loves each other. Everyone at the wedding is happy. What could be greater than that? Weddings are challenging becaesu no two are ever alike. The venues might be the same, but that is where similarities stop. Even camera techniques vary based on the available light and the action at each wedding.
I had so much fun shooting Lori's wedding! ( Imagine my surprise when I arrived at the venue and found out that the bride's sister was married to a former co-worker. When I was teaching Special Education at Rocky River Elementary I worked with David a fourth grade teacher.) Her family is such a fun-loving group. They were willing to try anything! I was also able to catch some really fun spontaneous moments, like the groomsman that caught the garter having it taken off his leg by another one of the guest. And David jumping as he was announced at the reception. I was very lucky with that shot! While my camera was not set up for such an action shot, when I saw him going up I had to shoot! I love the blur of the slow shutter speed because you can see the movement! I have NEVER had pictures like these!
Anyway, here are the pictures I promised in a previous post. ( I haven't had death threats or anyone calling to bribe me not to post them so I guess it is alright. :) )
